Oil and Gas is the core of New Mexico's economy. There are three agencies and five groups that work together for one goal of success.  Join Shelley C. Klingler, CPL as she digs deeper into the oil and gas industry in the second largest crude-producing state.

Shelley Klingler is a Certified Professional Landman who began her career in oil and gas with her landman father in the late 1980s in South Louisiana, where she grew up. She joined the US Navy out of high school and served in the intelligence community for seven years. Shelley received a degree in Business Management soon after leaving the military. She rejoined the oil and gas industry full time after returning to the continental US and worked on the broker side for several years in the field and as a leasing, title, and contract landman. She joined Devon Energy as an in-house landman in January 2013 and worked the Delaware Basin (New Mexico & Texas) until becoming the Planning Supervisor over the Delaware Basin Drilling & Completion program at Devon. She became the Land Advisor at Anadarko Petroleum in the Texas Permian Business Unit in March 2019 and joined the ConocoPhillips Permian Land Department in February 2022. She has worked Land in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, North Dakota, and New Mexico. For the last 14 years, her main career focus has been on the Delaware Basin in New Mexico. Shelley has mentored countless professionals in Land and other allied disciplines, regularly teaches Land classes and created a 101 Training Series that highlights each discipline within the total well lifecycle for ConocoPhillips Permian Business Unit.
