    Featuring Guest Speaker ROBERTO SEDA, JD, MBA

    Roberto Seda is the owner of Seda Law Firm PLLC located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, his Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He currently heads the oil and gas practice area of the firm. He is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Texas, North Dakota and New Mexico. Roberto focuses his practice in the areas of oil and gas, estate planning, probate, and real property disputes.

    Roberto is the chairman of the Oklahoma Title Examination Standards, the vice-chairman of the Real Property Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Real Property liaison of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He also serves as a volunteer with Trinity Legal Clinic of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City that provides legal services to needy individuals in the community. Finally, Roberto serves as a board member for Camp Lu-Jo KISMIF in southwest Oklahoma.

    Roberto and his wife, Becky, have three sons: Alex, Landon and Cole. His family is active at the Central Church of Christ where Roberto serves as a deacon for the congregation.

    Featuring Guest Speaker JIMMY DUPUIS

    Jimmy Dupuis is the founder of Dupuis Law Firm, PLLC. He has more than 20 years of experience representing energy clients in Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

    His oil and gas work includes advising and assisting operators and non-operators in all phases of exploration and production, including land and title issues, and operational and regulatory issues. He has extensive experience preparing title opinions, negotiating and drafting contracts, and performing due diligence in connection with the acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas assets.

    His renewable energy work includes negotiating and drafting solar leases, and advising on surface and oil gas issues. He performs due diligence, negotiates and drafts contracts, resolves issues presented by severed estates, and works to cure title and survey issues.

    He also has experience in real estate, including purchase, sale, financing, and leasing transactions involving commercial properties, and in business matters, including entity selection and formation, and negotiating and drafting contracts.

    Jimmy is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events, including the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, Kuntz Conference on Natural Resources Law and Policy, Louisiana Mineral Law Institute, AAPL, HAPL, NHAPL, NALTA, ATX-ALTA, LAPL, DAPL, BRAPL, ALTAPL, DFW-ALTA, and the Southwest Land Institute. He also frequently gives in-house educational presentations to land and legal departments in upstream oil and gas companies.

    Featuring Guest Speaker MATT SCHLENSKER

    Matt Schlensker, of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, focuses his practice in the areas of mineral title and energy law. He has extensive experience in drafting title opinions, division orders, and limited acquisition title opinions. He has handled various complex oil and gas title issues, and has analyzed and interpreted deeds, contracts, agreements, assignments, and other title instruments affecting surface and mineral estates, royalty interests, and developmental interests.
